To manage council responsibilities effectively, we operate several committees:
• Buildings Management Committee
o Oversees upkeep and improvements of Council buildings and properties.
• Planning Committee
o Reviews local planning applications and provides feedback to Central Bedfordshire Council as the relevant Planning Authority.
• Governance & Resources Committee
o Responsible for developing policy, managing budget, staff and administrative issues within the Council.
• Public Realm Committee
o Looks after the cemetery, allotments, parks, open spaces and street lighting.
Each committee meets regularly to discuss specific issues and make recommendations to the Full Council.
