Allotments are a fantastic way for residents in Stotfold to grow their own fruit, vegetables, flowers, and herbs
Stotfold Town Council offers wonderful allotment spaces, not just for gardening, but for getting outside and meeting new people – and of course for enjoying the fresh air.
Whether you're an experienced gardener or a complete beginner, Stotfold allotments offer a great environment to grow your own vegetables, spend some quality time outdoors and join a friendly community.
Having an allotment can offer many benefits. These include improving your physical health, reducing stress, and providing the satisfaction of growing your own food.
It’s also a great place to meet people in Stotfold along with exchanging gardening tips, ideas and planting timelines!
In Stotfold, we have two allotment sites available for residents: Norton Road and Common Road.
Both sites offer different plot sizes, suitable for a variety of different gardening needs and abilities.
Plot holders care for their individual plots responsibly, ensuring the allotment sites remain pleasant and well-kept, fostering a sense of community pride and collaboration.
Getting started with your own allotment is easy. Simply complete an application form under the Applications Form Tab on this website and submit it to the Cemetery & Allotments Officer.
We encourage new gardeners and can provide plenty of advice and guidance to help you get started.
Allotments are very popular, so you might have to join a short waiting list. However, plots become available regularly and so hopefully you won’t be on the waiting list for long.
As an allotment holder, you can install a small shed, plant fruit trees, and set up composting facilities – subject to approval.
We want to ensure the allotment sites remain tidy, productive and pleasant places for everyone to enjoy. We therefore we ask all plot holders to follow our simple guidelines.
