The Bedale Welfare Charity is governed by a body of twenty-five trustees, known as The Rector and Four and Twenty of Bedale.
The charity trustees shall manage the affairs of the charity and are appointed as below:
- The Rector of St. Gregory’s Church in Bedale (ex-officio)
- Eight nominative trustees: 3 from Bedale Town Council, 3 from Aiskew and Leeming Bar Parish Council and 2 from Crakehall Parish Council
- Sixteen co-optative trustees
The board of trustees are both jointly and individually responsible for the overall governance, direction, and sustainability of the charity.
