The Results
Thank you to the 317 resident who completed our questionnaire, and those residents who attended the public meeting, or have provided their comments and feedback on the proposal and consultation.
The results were as follows.

After discussion, Councillors elected to proceed with Option 2, to investigate including two unisex toilets and solar lighting. Councillors felt that Option 2 gave longevity to the building and would ensure that the works were guaranteed.
Cllr Danny Matthews, Chair of Building Management said, “We’re grateful to everyone who took the time to respond. Residents told us that they valued having toilets at the cemetery. Option 2 will give us a new building while remaining sympathetic to the original look of the build with modern internal facilities. This will provide a practical and accessible community facility for years to come. We look forward to keeping the community updated on the projects progresses.”
Officers will now begin the necessary preparatory work and will keep residents updated with progress.
